Malcolm knocked it out of the park again, with his “imports” from Alberta where the cattle roam and the scotch is (a bit) less dear. Great bottles and a fine feast (we know he had help). Stunning conversation, a late night and not much left of the preferred one.
Round 1: Glen Scotia – Double Cask
Cost: $80 CDN
Region: Campbeltown
Fun Facts:
The Glen Scotia distillery is one of the smallest Scotch whisky distilleries but one of the big names in Campbeltown, the former whisky capital of the world.
Very Nice, H2O didn’t do much and was not necessary
Finish sticks for a bit.
Round 2: The Macallan – Double Cask
Cost: $104 CDN
Region: Highland
Fun Facts:
One of the coolest Macallan facts: the distillery’s stills are so tiny that they’ve become part of its identity — they’re literally called the “Curiously Small Stills,” and every dent in them is considered essential to the flavor.
I’m jealous. Great selection
