Tasting Reviews

2021-08 – Stan W.

A bit of a bounce around to get this session organized, and at the end, although Stan hosted, it was held at Ron’s. This brought the Whiskey Wife’s together with the Nosers in the same house for the evening – a first time occurrence. As dangerous as this was, there is no risk too grand for a chance at Scotch, so we girded up, and strode through.

A line was drawn, not to be crossed, with the men outside, and the women in. It worked. Whew.

Round 1: Arran 10 Year Old

Cost: $99 CDNRegion: Highland (Island)

Fun Facts:

  • In 1797 John Sinclair, a local kelp merchant, applied for a lease of 57 acres of land on the area known as Ledaig with the plan to build housing and a distillery. However, the application was rejected, and he was only granted permission to build a brewery. Not one to give up easily, he remained true to his original plan and a year later, Ledaig Distillery was established.
