NSC Comments:

  • Apple and pear nose and also in the taste
  • Not a long linger for the taste
  •  Mucho goodie
  • Sweetness
  • Water softened it
  • Light on the nose

Round 2: Caol Ila 12 Year Old

Cost: $86 CDNRegion: Islay

Fun Facts:

NSC Comments:

  • Strong nose with peat and smoke, Smoke taste
  • Pepper on the tongue
  • Nice smooth great taste
  • Finish stayed quite long but gently faded

Bonus Round: Glen Breton 15 Year Old – Battle of the Glen

Fun Facts:

  • Glenora Distillery, North America’s first single malt whisky distillery, begins its history in the early 1800s.
  • The subtitle “Battle of the Glen” is a reference to the SWA trying to stop the distillers from using the word ‘Glen’ in their name, though it was eventually dismissed 7 years after the litigation started. In celebration, Glenora released this very whisky!
